Replacement Ring

I am quickly reaching the point where it takes every trick in the book to get my wedding ring off & on, so I think that it is time to buy a temporary one. My rings are soldered together so just wearing one of the bands is sadly not an option. Does anyone have ideas of where I can buy a ring that is not too expensive but nice quality (not looking for diamonds necessarily)??? TIA!

Re: Replacement Ring

  • I, too, am at that point. I got a nice fake set at Target

  • Really it shouldnt matter if you take em off, who cares what other people think, but I feel the same way you do. I'll probably just get a set from Claires or something at the mall. Unless you look up close, no one is going to notice the quality. haha people mostly just glance out of curiosity and then look elsewhere anyway.

  • I'm not at that point yet, but with DS, I borrowed a ring from my parents.  Turns out it was actually my father's wedding band (it is way too small for him now).  I loved wearing it and will most likely wear it again this time around.  It is simple and a fun conversation piece as well! I ended up wearing it for a few months after DS was born too as I needed to get my wedding rings resized :-(
  • You can try James Avery.  They have a bunch of nice rings for reasonably priced.  I wanted to get one there with LO birth stone, but since I'm due June 4th, hubby was worried if baby comes early I will have the wrong color birth stone.  So, I didn't get one, but they are really cute sterling silver with a small stone.
  • I highly recommend looking at overstock.com!!

  • I second the vote for Overstock.com. My hubby got me a great set for about 20-25 bucks for Christmas (I asked for it because I had to start wearing a fake ring at about 12 weeks!!). Mine's held up just fine so far.

I get tons of compliments on my fake ring. I love my wedding ring but its wonderful to be able to wear anything in the mean time.

    Best of luck!
