I only asked because this happened once before and I mentioned it to his pre-k teacher. I thought it was no big deal, she acted as if I had neglected him for not calling the Dr.
I am not trying to freak you out but when I was bite buy a student I teach (he is on the spectrum) he broke my skin and I had to go to the doctor because of it and I was told that when skin is broken you should go on antibiotics because of all the germs.
But I would probably clean it out and but cream on it and ice since they are siblings and all.
Not sure about human bites but when my oldest DD was bitten by a dog (side of face) my MIL cleaned it with alcohol. She really cried because of the burning of course. When I took her to the ER (it was recommended because it was above the shoulders...law at that time) the doctor said that was the best thing to do.
I've been bitten (in play) and scratched by our cat a few times and I always put alcohol on the areas. Never have I had even a scab afterwards.
