Brynn, Brynna, and Brinley

My DH really loves the name Brynn and all it's variants.  I like them, but don't LOVE them.  What are your opinions on them and which is your favorite of the 3:

Brynn

Brynna

Brinley

Brenna (not really a variant, but similar sound).

 

I can't really picture Brinley on a grown adult for some reason, but I can picture the other 2.

I'm not really a fan of any of them. If I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be Brynna/Brenna.

I love the name Brynn! 

 My DD's name was Brynn....I thought it was unique, unable to be shortened, and could not be mispronounced......although, I was totally wrong on the last one.....tons of people pronounced it like the boys name 'Brian'.....I totally did not antcipate that!  lol

I like Brynn the best, but it sounds more like a nickname than a formal name.

Brynn or Brenna. The other two are too cutesy. I especially cant imagine calling an adult Brinley, although I do like the name.

I like Brynn the best. That's on our girls name list for the next LO. Brynna reminds me of the Brita water filters for some reason...

But we are also thinking of a similar names...Brelyn or Brelea.

I only like Brenna. That to me is a classic name. Add the "y" spelling or the "ley" and it's not classic.

Brianna is too popular for my taste and also seems a bit dated. We do LOVE the nickname "Bree", but lately I'm beginning to think every little girl might have that nickname is the amount of Brianna's (and various spellings), Gabrielle/a's, Aubrey's, etc...

Brinley, IMO, sounds like a dog's name.  Sorry.

Honestly, it sounds like you're not sure. I would plug Bree into nymbler and start coming up with some new suggestions.

I like Brynn 1st, then Brinley.  Brinley is cute, but I agree that it sounds more like a kids name.

Brynn is on our list, too-- I HATE Brinley (sorry, I know that sounds harsh), and Brynna is just "eh" to me.  My issue with Brynn is that I agree that it sounds like a NN more than a name and I can see it on a 25 year old, but have trouble picturing my 3 mo. old as Brynn.  My DH is in love with it, too-- I am sort of on the fence myself.

I love Brynn and Brenna they were my top choices for dd but my dh hates them.  I dislike Brynna and Brinley.

Of those 3, I like Brinley the best. She can always shorten it to Brynn if she prefers.

Brynna looks like a weird spelling of Brianna without the a ...

I like Brenna, but I'm biased (see siggy). It was not hard for us to see it as an "adult" name, because we have an adult friend who works in the legal field who is named Brenna.

I like them all.  My favorite is Brynn then Brinley.

I like Brenna first and then perhaps Brynn (though it's NMS).  Every time I see Brinley I think 'brindle', which is a fur pattern on dogs...

Brynn and Brynna remind me of Brenda which i'm not a fan of and seems 80's.  I lOVE Brinley, I think its cute and modern but my husband doesn't like it.

About 5 years ago, my favorite name was Brynna (short i sound), but then my bff named her daughter Brenna and DH hated it.

I still like Brynn.
