intro and a question (wheezing with feeding

Just wanted to introduce myself - I have been on the boards for while traveling from GP to TTTC to muliples and all the Tri boards.  My twins were born last week via c section. at 38 weeks  we are all doing well, home and recovering.  They were great weights  - 6.7 and 5.10.  I am working on a new ticker, I just haven't had the chance.  I am looking forward to all the good advice I am sure I will get from this board.

In fact I already have a question about wheezing when feeding.  has anyone had this issue?  I called the dr. yesterday and he seems to think that it is milk caught in her throat since it is intermittant and when he saw her each day in the hospital she was the "spitter" meaning she was the one who was spitting up more... he told me to feed her upright and let her sit upright after the feeding.  Even though I know I already talked to the dr., I would love any advice or people who have the same thing with their LOs.  I keep thinking she can't breath and panicking even though I know if that was the case, the dr. would have had us in immediately....... Im a first time mom, what can I say - nerve are normal hopefully!

Re: intro and a question (wheezing with feeding

  • My pedi said it's not really wheezing.. It's air passing mucus and/or milk while he breathes. Also he said that onc e his nostrils fully open it shouldn't be as noticeable.
