We haven't gotten very far on name planning, but both DH and I have moms named Susan. If it's a girl, we'll probably use that. Are there any meaningful or family names that you could pick from? I personally like the idea of a unique first name, but a middle one from somewhere in the family.

Donelle (pronounced Dawn-Elle) -- it's my mom's first name. In my family its tradition to give the first born daughter the mother's first name as a middle name. So if we have a daughter her middle name will be Ashley, my first name.

OMG...mine's Edith!! I've always hated it, but it is a family name. Our LO's middle name is going to be Mae which is also a family name (my grandmother's middle name) and I think its much prettier than Edith! LOL

Mines Kay! With a longer first and last you may want to consider a short middle but I don't think it matters either way. My DD's mn is Mikayla so she has my mn in hers

Marie. I like it, but I think it is way too common. I personally wouldn't give it to my daughter for that reason. I want her middle name to be somewhat unique.

My middle name is Jean. It's my mother's name and my grandma's name. Randomly, my MIL's name is also Jean and my SIL's middle name is Jean. If this baby is a girl, she will be named Evelyn Jean.
