My ds is just impossible. He is constantly telling us "no" and bugging his sister , it's non stop! We discipline him-nothing works. Is anyone else's 4 year old like this? What works for u?
It was hard for us in the beginning (with whining and "I can't to do it"} however as she has approached 4.5 its gotten better. Still a little more drama than necessary but I've heard 5 is easy so...hopefully!
My 4 yr old can be a pain!! I feel like I repeat myself a millon times. Also the boys don't pick up their toys and it makes me crazy. We do time outs but sometimes I feel like if I shout it helps. I think he takes me more seriously even though I feel bad for doing it. I think 4 is a pain!!
Crap - don't tell me this - I was banking on it getting easier after 3! Olivia is a nut job - and the only thing that works is consistent time outs........ Here's to hoping it still works in a year!
Sounds to me like the trying three's surfaced a little late. I did the same thing to my momma at that age. She was a SAHM because she just had my sister. My dad would walk in the door and my mom would be on the floor crying. After a few months of it, I discovered daycare.
Actually 2 was really hard , 3 got a lot easier and 4 is hard again! He is never whiney , like I said he is just very difficult and defiant and I am wondering if he will be more head strong in life in general.. Like my dh..hope not!
Re: Is age 4 supposed to be this hard? Seriously..
My 3 year old is like that. If 4 is much worse I may end up in a padded room.
"But I really, really want _______."
Whine, whine, whine, cry, whine.
I will do it MYSELF.
NO. No. No. No. NO.
