Jenny Lind style crib- Delta or DaVinci?

I really like the Jenny Lind style crib which leaves me with Delta or DaVinci.  I really love the iron crib, but at $1200, I have to settle on wood :)

I know that Delta has a F rating from Baby Bargains and the Jenny Lind crib with the drop railing has issues in the past, but what about the fixed rail?  I've only seen the Delta one at BRU, and it is a solid wood, I think oak.  DaVinici is aka Million Dollar Baby which I know uses a softer wood, pine.  MDB is rated a B something by Baby Bargains.  Which to choose?  If I were to select w/o knowing anything about the two companies, I would go with Delta based on the feel.  What would you do? Any Experience with either?  Thanks mamas!

(I put a related post earlier today on Nurseries and Gear board and heard about Delta, but nothing about DaVinci)

  • I did a lot of research online found my crib at Walmart of all places - it is made by MDB and is called Baby Mod, they are basically the same models as the Davinci cribs but around $100 cheaper, you should see if you can find the Baby Mod version of the Davinci crib you are looking for.

  • I bought the Baby Mod Cadence but am returning, I just don't like the style which is why I am looking at the Jenny Lind style...an older, vintage feel.  The DaVinci is only $199 so it's not much more then  the Baby Mod (no free mattress).  Thanks.
  • I have the Delta Jenny Lind from BRU. So far, so good. It looks great and it seems very sturdy and well-made. No drop-side, so that's a plus for me.
