I am a classic case as to why you should purchase your furniture early on in the second trimester!!!! We special ordered furniture by Stanley Young America in december & waited 9 weeks to finally get it today. When they arrived 1/2 the furniture was cherry & the other half was black....we ordered expresso. All this time waiting and money spent & it was the WRONG COLOR =(
I spent ALL day either on the phone or waiting on a call back and forth from the furniture company only to be told it's going to be another 8 weeks at least before the correct furniture can come in. I'll be about 34 weeks now when it gets here, & I purposely ordered early so that the nursery could be set up and decorated while I still felt good.
Needless to say I am so bummed & sad, I had been counting down the days & could hardly sleep last night I was so excited. So order your furniture early ladies, especially if you are using specialty stores or special order!!!!

I'm so thankful we did it early now!! The total time to get this furniture is going to be 20 weeks.....it's not like I ordered a space ship shaped crib!! Suppppper frustrating
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
I'd push for a partial refund or discount. Seriously.

Nope. I honestly wanted to cancel the whole order & get a refund....but that would leave me without furniture at all & stuck looking for a new set & we have zero time to shop around this next month. They were pretty horrible to deal with today & I sort of finally gave up in trying to argue with them about anything. They told us we could keep the furniture they ordered wrong until the correct order came in but I saw no point in that.
This, for sure.
I would expect a company who ships to expecting parents know that they are on a strict time frame. It isn't too much to ask for you to get what you ordered, in the time that you expected it.
Seriously. Demand that partial! Then you can splurge on fun decor items
Ooops. Forget my last reply then.
Why in the hell would you keep furniture temporarily? So that something could scratch it or get on it, and then they could charge you for it? Grrr. It's not even all of them same color! Throat punch to them.
Yep, seemed totally asinine to me. Why would I set everything up on mismatched furniture just to take it all down and set it back up again in 8 weeks? They said I wouldn't be held accountable for the furniture if it had any damages, which baffled me. We spent four thousand dollars on this furniture, wouldn't it be cheaper for them to expedite and express deliver the correct order than waste an entire set? Ugggggh!!
I fell in love with the look & quality of the furniture which is probably the only reason I didn't cancel the whole thing & ask for a refund.....what pieces do you have?
