I have a massage scheduled for Wed this coming week and my insurance will be covering it, yay! I was wondering should I still tip the therapist 15-20% even though I am using insurance?
Thank you guys for answering. But if insurance is paying for it should I just ask them what would be the normal cost and then do 15-20% of that as a tip?
It depends where you are getting the massage. I get them at my Chiro and the therapists there cannot accept tips. If you are going to a spa, then definately tip.

As a massage therapist I would say that a tip would be greatly appreciated. Is it relaxation, deep tissue, or something else?
Either way, the tip amount is up to you. I hate when clients ask b/c it makes me uncomforable. 1/2 $5 or $10 is average, 1 hr $10-$20 is average.
