Hi, I am just switching over to South Shore Midwifery in Weymouth and wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them, I was referred by my NP at my OB's office, as they don't have any midwives actively delivering and I have decided to use a midwife for my deliver : ) Thanks!

Re: Anyone use South Shore Midwifery in Weymouth?
i delivered both babies with SS midwifery. i LOVED them. the midwifes and drs were fantastic.
i was high risk and they were so helpful. i called all the time and they were always happy to ease my mind. i often would call and say was not feeling well and wanted to come in to be looked at and they always accommodated.
the receptionist even gave me a HUGE box of 300 of those pre-measured formula things for your diaper bag. i still use them. she called me after I had Chase. he was a big boy, 10lbs 13oz, she said she had big babies and knew i would be spending a fortune on formula. it was such a nice gesture.
i received great care there and would recommend then very highly.
Thank you both for the feedback on SS Womens Health and SS midwifery, if your looking for a good OB office, in the building behind SS Women's health there is Atrius Women's Health Center, Dr. Chen is wonderful...and the office is very accomodating, the NP Kristin was great to work with, and when I called the front desk with any questions they would forward my call to a nurse right away who would track down my answer immediately for me. I am about 14 & a half weeks & haven't had any issues but my experience was great with them, the only reason I changed was because they don't have any midwives that are actively delivering at this time, and I chose to go with a midwife as their approach opposed to an OB's is more the birthing experience I am going for. I also was referred to Dr. Chen by 2 women in the area, one who had 2 c-sections with her & the other who had natural childbirth and both were very happy. I am sorry your having a bad experience with your office, I hope your able to find a Doctor your happy with.
Kiki thanks a ton, I've only been getting positive feedback on them thus far, so I feel good about my choice, and your feedback just made me more confident that I made the right decision : ) Congrats on your healthy baby boy : ) I have my 1st appt on 3/15 with Shelly...I am looking forward to it.
shelly is so nice. i know the PP said the u/s lady did not talk much and that is true. they often deal with high risk PG that is pretty standard for the u/s in a high risk office. the tech is instructed NOT to give any opinions. but the tech is actually nice. i had MANY u/s and she was great at keeping me calm and always got me "cute" picts of the baby when she could.
