OW- this HURTS! Anyone else?

I'm 30 weeks today, and for the past 3 weeks, I've had this awful pain by my ribs on the right side- likr right where the underwire of my bra sits. It can't be my bra- I've never had this before, and they are comfortable. When I feel the spot, there IS a lumpy feeling there and I swear it should have a bruise, but it doesn't. It REALLY HURTS! I've asked the doc twice, she said baby's probably kicking there (duh), but it doesn't hurt like this anywhere else- Any of you go through this? Is there anything that can be done? I don't know how I can stand it for another two and a half months!

That's EXACTLY where I get my rib pain. Always the right lower rib area. Sometimes I have to sit with my arms above my head to try and ease the pain.

I've been dealing with it since about 24 weeks.

I've been tested for kidney issues, stomach ulcers, gall stone/gall bladder issues, and about 19 other things. Finally they just said its a nerve that LO is bumping. No idea, but I'm hoping it resolves itself after delivery.

Most likely it is your LO sticking its little heal into the most uncomfortable places.  My LO likes to stick her foot into my lower left side.  I keep telling DH there has to be a bruise there as sore as it is.  Usually I just rub that spot a bit to get her to move her foot, but I don't think there is anything you could do to stop it.

Yes I had this come to find out LO's head was right there when she flipped pain went away!

Huh- glad I'm not the only one- it's just so WEIRD!

Thing is- I never actually FEEL whatever he's doing to that spot!

I had this same thing when I was about 30 weeks also. It could be bruised from LO kicking in there.

I asked my doc about this a few weeks ago...it almost felt like an open sore.  Doc took a look and said that spot (same locale) is where my gallbaldder is pushed up against and there is a bunch of nerves there.  So that causes the burised feeling and when LO kicks it, that causes the horrible sharp pains...

Yeah, sounds like LO is upside down with heels in the ribs. I have the exact same problem, and taking my bra off and laying on my left side with right arm above my head helps a lot. It sounds like a lot to do, but it is the only relief I get. Mine didn't start until about a week ago, but I think DD was sideways until then. Nothing to do but bear with it, unfortunately. Better than morning sickness, though.

Yep, I've been dealing with this for like a month and a half now. Constantly tender (like it's bruised) and now when I lay on my right side, sometimes I get horrible sharp pains in that place.
