that would bother me too. Wait until the baby is born...I got some terrible comments from old relatives about how thin my DD was. They said they thought she looked sickly. In reality she was just a healthy breastfed baby. I hate how people think that fat=good when it comes to babies.. My second DD was a little chunk so I never got those comments but I will never forget the feeling from the first. It makes you feel like you are doing something wrong and as a new mom that is the last thing you want to do!
I feel your pain. I was speaking to a coworker yesterday on her first day back from mat leave about her baby and then she asked how I was and what was new with me. Among other things I said "I'm expecting" and she literally said "expecting what....?". I was like "um, a BABY". She looked at me and was like "wow, how far along are you?". I tell her and she just looks shocked.
I just look fat(ter) than I was pre-pg and it sucks.

I know how you feel, I am huge for 14 weeks and I get the "are you sure there isn't 2 in there" otr wow you really took the eating for 2 literally huh...when in reality I lost 10 pounds from throwing up constantly the first 10 weeks.
SO I smile sweetly and thank them for being so concerned about MY pregnancy and body.
People just don't think and they Suck!
Be proud of your bump, they are probably just jealous because you look fantastic
People are rude and just don't think! I swear people say the stupidest things! Don't let it get you down for one minute. A lot of the time it depends on where the zygote attaches to the uterus and the way it begins to grow, the tone of your muscles, the size of your hips, etc. and she had no right to make such an ignorant comment. There are so many factors that goes into the way your belly grows. So try and let it go, take deep breath and if she says something to you again just smile and politely say "There is nothing wrong and I appreciate your concern but since you are not a doctor, I wouldn't worry yourself about it."

Sorry that this happened to you too.
I'm sorry
I have gotten several comments like this as I am not really showing much either. People just don't think.
That is just rude.
( And a bummer for you. If it were me, I might avoid that neighbor.
Be a proud momma of your bump, no matter what the size!
)
Let. It. Go.
Sorry it happened to you, but move on. Stressing about it isn't good for the baby.
