DD went to the Bright Horizons in Braintree as an infant, we were very happy with it. Then a spot opened up in our first choice center, the Greater Quincy Child Care Center which is about 800 feet away from the Bright Horizons, but technically in Quincy. It's a privately owned center which is slightly less expensive than BH and we don't have to pay more to have her go for more than 8 hours a day, which sometimes happens if one of us gets stuck at work late. We have been extremely happy with her care so far, as we were at the Bright Horizons. I just like the smaller, more community-like feel at the center she's at now, plus it was about $400/month cheaper at the time (their tuition has since gone up so I am not sure how it compares now). Good Luck!
I have reserved a spot for July at Kindercare in Braintree near the plaza. I looked at all centers in the area and found there pricing to be competitive with the others once my 10% corporate discount was included. The Bright Horizons I looked at in Crown Colony was $100 per week more than all the others so I didn't even go for a visit. Kindercare's building is newer than all the others so it felt cleaner and brighter plus I liked the flexability of drop off at 6:30 and pick up at 6:30 based on what is going on with my work schedule. Others charged for extra time.
Re: Daycare Recs in Braintree area?
We looked into Bright Horizons also. I love the center, but decided to stay at home, so my daughter never ended up going there.
There are also a few KinderCare centers that are highly recommended. I know there is one by the plaza, and I think there are more in the area.
Good Luck!
