prayers please...had to have an emergent cerclage yesterday!!

Little man and I are in need of any and all prayers! I went for our big ultrasound and the tech nervously said that my cervix was incredibly short that we would need to speak to the doctor as soon as she was done taking measurements.  It turns out my cervix is only 15mm and litterally shortened right infront of the tech. I went in to get an emergent cerclage yesterday afternoon and is now on bed rest.  I was told to get to 25 weeks and everyday after that is a blessing from God.

I'm scared out of my mind! Anyone else go or going through this?

I don't have personal experience with this (honestly just googled it to learn more) & will definitely keep you in my T&Ps.

I am worried b/c of a previous m/c, but my cervix is fine thus far.

I had a friend a few years ago that had a m/c at work and lost the baby at 4-4&1/2 months.  Next time she was pregnant (seemed like only 3-4 montsh after) she had a cerlage and she had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl full term.

Sending t&p your way- just get some rest and keep those feet up. Try not and stress about though Im sure thats not easy

T & P to you and your little man.  I had one done with my DS.  It was put in at 21 weeks for a short cervix and I was on modified bed rest until 32 weeks.  I carried him to 38 weeks and everything was fine.  Glad they caught it early.

My stepdaughter was born at 27 weeks for the same thing - incompetent cervix. BUT, they didn't catch her mom's cervix issues until she was already dialating around 24 weeks. It's scary but happens more than you know. She is a thriving, healthy, very happy and very intelligent 3 1/2 year old. Listen to your doctor's and know that medicine is amazing today. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know what you're going though. I have a different condition, and bed rest wont help my condition, but I have been told that my LO is going to be super early too. I'm going to see a specialist soon, but right now, it's an any day now type thing and it is terrifying. T&P for you and your LO.

Prayers and thoughts with you and Mason!! I am very worried about this myself. I had a LEEP procedure 10 yrs ago and had to get a cervix check at 16 weeks, will have another one at my 21 week ultrasound next week and then a few times after that (not exactly sure when).

Hang in there and hopefully Mason will stay inside as close to delivery date as possible!!   

Did you have any symptoms or realize there was anything the matter or was this a complete surprise?  Either way-- this would be terrifying, I am just curious due to my own situation, so ignore if this is too private to answer.
