2nd Trimester

Opinions(long)

Here is the situation.  Right before I got married I was having some issues with irregular cycles & often needed help to start my period.  I had been seeing the NP but suspected I wasn't ovulating so at work one day I asked one of the doctors(who I loved) if he would be willing to see me and evaluate things.  He agreed & told me to call the office for an appointment with him.  I did & they wouldn't schedule me with him,  I also needed some blood work ordered & he came on the line & was a complete jerk to me.  I decided that I would just switch practices because I didn't want to deal with that.  I started going to a great practice about 40 minutes from home.  I got pregnant in September.

FF to now.  That doctor has left the practice.  The other one there is great & they have a new midwife that I love(I work with them all the time).  Would you change back to the local office this late in the game?  I love the idea of delivering at the hospital where I work & for LO & I to be taken care of by my co-workers.  I just don't know what to do.

Re: Opinions(long)

  • i would switch. If you feel so strongly about it. I moved out of state at 26 wks and switched and it was no issue at all.

  • I would switch too.  If for no other reason than to be able to pick the hospital and know the people who are taking care of the baby.

  • I would switch if that is the hospital you are more comfortable with.
