Have you ever been to American-Sewing in Princeton?  I am considering driving there to check out sewing machines because they have a large selection and I hear great prices, I am still trying to find local places but if I do not have something by this weekend I think I will make the drive.  Does your machine have metal housing?  I am wondering if I should go that route.  I think I am going to stick with a regular sewing machine since the low-end embroidery ones do not have the capability of doing what I want...or so it seems.  So, now I am trying to do a lot of research which is hard but I think I ruled out Singer since their newer machines have bad reviews.
