And were just five months...four left to go!

I read this is common on the board. He tried to make excuses for it for the last couple weeks. I finally got it out of him last night.

Frustrating!

But if I was a guy it would be kinda icky to make love to your wife while she had a being growing inside her. I think he's afarid she's gonig to kick him or something....LOL

That's much different than my DH who started saying. . . poke the baby. . . poke the baby. . . lol.  Apparently he's very comfortable with it.

That's what his friend are saying...chill out. But the poor guy had performance issues prior to getting pregnant and I think they are kreeping back in. He's affraid he's going to injur her although I have well assured him that he can't do any damage.

DH and i have sex ALL the time and our LO is doing great!!!! our dr even said its really good for the baby!! and it is a great stress reliever!!!   make DH go to the dr with you and have your dr tell him how good it is for the baby!!!!

DH loves the pregnant belly, the growing boobs and even the strech marks. He thinks pregnancy is beautiful, which makes me feel lucky. 

However..... I have no sex drive, because if we start to fool around, I just feel weird. I'm almost 7 months, and LO moves around much more so I know that he's in there. It feels like I would be having sex with my baby on the bed right next to us. It just creeps me out. 

I do give in once in a while and try to push it to the back of my brain, but still...

Have you tried using the House, Garage, Car comparison?

 The baby is safe inside the "house" your uterus, Your vagina is like the Garage and your husbands manhood is like the car that parks in the garage. Now there is a door from the garage that enters the house but no matter how big, great, grand the car is it won't get through that door to do harm to the baby.

I can totally understand why some guys are weirded out by this.  I agree with PP about bringing him to a doctor appointment.  He may be more likely to trust the person in the white coat.

I have to respond..my DH is in the exact same boat...totally disturbed by it. And he is a 3rd year medical student who has delivered babies. For him its not about ignorance. He knows technically its safe...its just weirds him out.

I absolutely LOVE this!!! Lol! i cant wait to get home and share this with DH. TOO funny. Luckily i've had more of a sex drive NOW than ever. More exciting, we have both been working so much and are usually so tired that when we do 'play' we have so much fun. We dont make it routine. Although certain posiitions are becoming increasingly uncomfortable week by week.

My DH is worried about it too.  It took us so long to get pregnant he is afraid of doing anything to hurt the baby.  He is also afraid of hurting me because a few weeks ago I had very bad hip pain. 

We had a very open conversation about it and decided how much (or how little) sex is OK with each of us.  We've come to an agreement and it's been working for us so far.  Things will probably change again the further along I get though.
