I hadn't really thought much about it, but DH and I do a bowling thing for charity every year for our state bar association which is coming up this weekend. I haven't had any complications or restrictions placed on me by my doctor, but thought maybe that throwing around a 10-12 pound bowling ball for a couple of hours might not be the best idea...thoughts?
Re: Bowling a problem?
I went this weekend and had no problems, I didn't even think about it. I only use a 9lb ball (sometimes I grabbed the 8). Other than being horrible (I said my center of gravity was thrown off) I felt fine. We only bowled two games though, I don't know if you had planned to play all day. Maybe just limit the number of games and I think you'll be fine.
This. It might be awkward for you. Just listen to your body.

Anytime I go bowling I get so achy for the next couple days. I can't imagine how achy I would be if I went now! You should take some Tylenol when you get home from the ally.
Yep- nothing to worry about. I asked my doctor too (more for if I should stop later). She said no, as long as you feel comfortable.
The important thing to remember is that your body is changing- you are looser, your center of gravity is changing, and you can pull things that you never usually pull. I find when I'm bowling that if I throw certain ways I feel it in my belly, which I don't like. I just try to be careful and not throw the ball as hard as normal. I have not changed to a lighter ball though, and it is fine.
