2nd Trimester

kinda worried

I will start out by saying I had a 3d u/s Saturday and LO looked wonderful. She was kicking and moving up a storm we even saw her yawning and what looked like sucking on her thumb. Anyways I haven't felt her kicked at least not for sure, my tummy is still jiggly and while I have a bump I am starting to think it is just me getting fat not the baby. Someone please talk some sense in to me ha ha I am starting to think I will never feel the things all of you are talking about.

  • One second I feel a twitch in my lower abdomen and the next I'm having a breakdown that I'm not really pregnant anymore, and the baby is not growing enough, etc. I'm so irrational. Worrying is my best friend. And I'm really not a fan of it.

If you knew how lonely my life has been And how long I've been so alone And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along And change my life the way you've done

  • It's still very early for you right now. Steady movement can take a while to start up. And, even then kick counts won't come into play until around 28w, depending on the OB. Just relax, you have plenty of time :)

  • Don't worry. They are right, it's too early. I know you want badly to feel s/he, but you will!

  • Don't worry about movement.  Babies, like the rest of us, have their "active" days and their "lazy" days.  Doctors don't worry about movement until 28 weeks!  Relax.  LO will become more active soon enough.

  • Thanks ladies I just want to feel a definite kick so badly ha ha hopefully soon.
  • I'm about as far along as you and I haven't felt movement for sure.  There have been a couple times I've wondered if certain feelings were kicks but they weren't significant enough for me to be sure.  Don't worry about it...it can be anywhere from now til 22 weeks til you feel anything Big Smile.  I'm excited too though.

  • I didn't start feeling anything until week 19 and even then it was inconsistent and unsure. Now I feel her all the time and its getting much stronger. I wouldn't worry, you saw her and she looks great!

  • I'm 21 weeks and still haven't felt anything that was "for sure" baby movement. Believe me I know its hard...but just be patient.
