Sick while pregnant

Hey ladies- so far I've been lucky at avoiding flu, etc, but for past 2 days, something is definiteliy wrong- stomach hurts, back hurts, have diarrhea (sorry for TMI), and just feel like have a cold...

Anyone else been sick during pregnancy- and what meds did you take, like any cold medicine?

I don't have those exact symptoms, but I've been achy and my sinuses are draining. I just called my ob, and the nurse said Tylenol Cold and Sinus is fine.  She also Zyrtec or Claritin is fine for drainage. Hope you feel better soon.

My husband and I actually came down with either food poisoning or the stomach flu two weeks ago. I couldn't keep anything down (or in) for a good 10 hours :0( Honestly, I'm not sure what you could take for a cold/flu....or if you have to tough it out :0( Hope you feel better soon!

I'm just getting over a cold. I only tried Tylenol cold & sinus, and it really didn't help at all. I've heard sudafed was effective for others, and both meds were ok'd by my doctor.

 The best thing is to rest so your body can get better. Diarrhea and aches and pains doesn't seem like a cold to me. Of course I would suggest calling your doctor and going over your symptoms.

I haven't not been sick yet.  I've taken just about everything you can.  Claritin, Robitussin dm, nasal spray, antibiotics, zantac, etc.  I just keep getting sick.  I would call your Dr. for a list of meds they are ok with you taking and go from there.

oh sweetie - I'm so sorry you're sick!

My dr. recommended a nettipot/saline solution for nasal congestion, and ok'd Benedryl when it gets really unbearable.

Hard candies for sore throats (and mints help with the m/s!)

If it's a stomach flu, I'd ask for something like Diclectin...

steam showers (as hot as is safe), lots of fluids and REST!

I've been lucky so far, but woke up at 1 am with a wicked sore throat!  So far hot tea is helping, I just hope it doesn't turn ugly on me.  Try tylenol, humidifier, neti pot.  Good luck.  Feel better.

Edit:  My stupid pocket guide doesn't say anything about diarhea.  Boo urns.

I've been sick with what I think is the flu since about Monday. And basically all I can take is Tylenol, Robitussin (which hasn't really helped) and lots of fluids. Figures I'd have my first case of the flu when I'm pregnant and can't take any good drugs.
