Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Sleep

I posted this on the 0-3 too, but i thought maybe I could get advice from everyone here too.  My daughter is 2 days old and she seems to choke a lot when she breaths. I was told by the nurses and her doctor that was pretty normal.  Although, I am scared to death to sleep because I am afraid that she will quit breathing.  Any advice?  Or does this get easier?

Re: Sleep

  • This does get easier.  Did you have a long labor?
  • Loading the player...
  • It gets easier with time. You'll also learn to tell the difference between normal sleep noises and ones you should be concerned about.

  • My baby was a very noisy sleeper in the beginning. She gasped, snored, snorted, squeaked and squealed in her sleep. She only stayed in our room for 2 weeks because DH and I were up all night while she slept (noisily)! You get used to the sounds and will be able to learn which ones are normal for her. DD just got much quieter while sleeping this month.
