What do you think, probably from teething? It looks like both of the 2nd position teeth on the top are just starting to show signs of white. Nothing popped through yet, so probably just starting.
She was a little fussy, but also seemed to be truly tired at bedtime. She felt a little warm so I took her temp when I changed her and put her into her jammies and it was 101.4. Gave her some Ibuprofen and put her to bed (2 hours ago). Hopefully she'll sleep til her usual 5:45 before she wakes for a bottle.
So far we haven't had any of the typical teething nightmares so I was a little surprised that she was a bit fussy this evening.
She also has never been sick at all, so I don't know what else to look for besides the fever.
Thoughts?
TIA!
Re: ? Re: Temperature of 101.4
If the tylenol or motrin help, I would not be terribly concerned. A lot of it has to do with how she is acting. If she is unresponsive, not active, listless, ect That would be a concern to me.
Our Dr. always said teeth do not cause fevers, but I do not agree at all. We would have fevers, runny poop, runny nose, ect.
She STTN like usual, so if she was uncomfortable earlier in the evening, it must not have come back after the ibuprofen wore off.
I did a little Google research before I posted and it said teething can cause fevers, though usually not higher than 101. So she was just barely higher than that.
I know, right? I consider myself to be very lucky with all the crap that has been going around. Momma must have super antibodies.
She's also a no daycare baby.
