Yesterday was DD's 4 month check up and she is a little one, only in the 25% for both weight (12lb 2oz) and length (23.5in).
But, I think she has a big head (like her Daddy, he can never find hats that fit). She is still wearing her 0-3 clothes without a problem (in fact some of them are still too big), except that I sometimes cannot get her head through the neck hole. Her head circumference was 16.25in and I asked the nurse what percentile that was, but she said she didn't know.
Is that big for her little body? How big was your LO's hc at 4 months?
Re: 4 month head circumfrence?
DS just went on Friday for his 4 month check up and his head circumference is 40cm which is in the 5-10% percentile. He has always been in this percentile - I guess he has a small head. We are at 75% for height (25 1/2 inches) and 10-25% for weight (13 lbs). He is tall and skinny with a small head!
My pedi said that as long as babies keep progressing on the chart and have no dramatic charting up or down, they are fine. I would not worry about it.
DD just had her 4 month check up today. Her head circumference was 15.75in(10-25%), weight was 13lbs14oz(50%) & length was 25in(75%).
I have used this website(https://www.babycenter.com/baby-child-growth-percentile-calculator ) to get percentiles if the doctor forgets to give them to me.
Awesome! Thanks for the link, that is great!
