2nd Trimester

For Those Who Know The Gender

Did you have a feeling what you were having prior?

Were you right?

Everyone keeps asking me what do you think you are having and I feel a boy, yet I have always wanted a little boy first so I don't know if that is why I am feeling that way. Anyone that I come in contact with all say you are having a boy, without knowing what I want.

Can't wait to find out March 10th!!

  • I really wanted a girl, but convinced myself it was a boy. When we found out we are having a girl, I wasn't surprised at all because I sort of knew it, but would not let myself believe it. Does that make sense?? :)

  • I had no "instinct" feeling..Almost everyone around me was saying boy..we even did that voodoo needle on a string trick and it came out boy so I was preparing for that boy but I was *hoping* girl and whaddayaknow!

  • Both times, I was convinced it was a girl.

  • I just knew I was having a girl! Everything just screamed girl! And it's a boy!!!

  • Early on I was thinking boy.  But then so many of our friends were thinking girl and I got to the point where I really wasn't sure.  But it's a boy and we're thrilled!

  • We really wanted a girl, so at first I felt girl because of that. Afterwards, I still felt girl. And we're having a girl.

DH and I also looked into the little tales. We don't know the exact date that I ovulated because of my very irrlegular cycles. According to my due date the dates I was most fertile were the days that we did not have sex. We know this for 100% sure because we were vacationing in my grandmothers vacation house and were sleeping in separate beds. We did however have sex every day for a few days before those fertile days. So according to the whole "female sperm can live inside you for up to 6 days and male sperm die off fast" we kind of knew it would be a girl. I remember saying i'd be very shocked if it wasn't a girl.

  • With DS I just knew it was a girl - probably only b/c we both wanted a girl so bad.  This time I just know it's a boy - probably b/c I don't want to get my hopes up for a girl again.  Regardless, I wouldn't trade my DS for anything in the entire world.
  • Prior to getting pregnant, I always thought we would have all boys.  That is what we wanted, and since there hadn't been a girl on DH's side for a long time we figured we'd be the same.

When we got pregnant, I immediately changed.  I knew it was a girl from the very beginning.  I wanted a girl!  Sure enough, I was right.

  • I swore it was a girl.  I'm having a boy :)
  • I would have bet the house that this baby was going to be a boy.  I really wanted a boy too, so maybe it was more of a wishful thinking thing. Everyone that saw me said I was having a boy b/c the way I was carrying.

LO is girl.  We were all wrong!

That is exactly what I did!!  I had such a strong feeling that it was a girl that I was scared of being disappointed, so I convinced myself it was a boy.  I pictured myself registering for blue, etc. to try to help.  But I was right, and now am having a hard time believing I was!

  • Early on I wasn't sure, but the chinese gender thing said boy.  The minute I found out one of my best friends who is due 3 weeks before me was having a girl, I KNEW I was having a boy.  I also had convinced it was a boy b/c I kinda really wanted a girl (I have 2 sisters and I grew up in an all-girls house for the most part), and also b/c I knew the name thing would never be that easy (we had 1 set girl name, but didn't agree at all on boy names).
  • I had no clue.

  • I "knew" it was a boy. But I'm pretty sure that I changed my mind on that a lot week... When my friend said to me "a mother knows" which one is it, I said its a boy, and for sure it is!
  • For DS: I thought boy from day one and was right.

For DD: I thought we were having another boy, but I was wrong!

  • I had no feeling on #1. I thought #2 was a boy but she was a she. I have no feeling with this one either. I suck.

I am trying to convince myself it's a girl because I would prefer a boy and that way if it's a girl I will already be of that mindset...

  • For our first I was right and knew from the moment I got my BFP. This time I was so wrong.
  • My DF and I both wanted a boy... At first we just had this feeling that it was a boy and each of us even had dreams that it was a boy.. Our appt at 17.5 wks changed our minds and we thought girl (the Dr didn't say it was a girl but we just had this feeling lol! Our next appt at 21 wks came and the Dr gave us the great news! Its a boy!

  • I had always been certain my first born would be a girl but it's a boy! I did have two dreams where the baby was a boy and I was still convinced it was a girl.

  • I just always had an idea that she was a girl.  Dh and his mom were just so sure it was going to be a boy (they even bought clothes and his mom sent us a card on thanksgiving telling us how excited she was for the baby boy to arrive).  Well, I was right and they were wrong she is all girl and I cannot wait!

  • We are going to find out tomorrow and I have NO CLUE.  Everyone else seems to have an opinion but I honestly don't feel one way or the other.
  • I strongly felt it was a boy and I was right. Lots of people in my family thought girl and that's what a lot of the predictors online said. Most of the old wives tales went along with boy though.

  • Thought it was a girl this time because this pregnancy has been so different, but it's another boy!
  • I did have a feeling. My Dr. told me when you do have a feeling that 90% of the time it ends up being correct too. WRONG. I was totally convinced it was a girl and we had been calling her our girl name for about 3 weeks. But we got a peen suprise!

  • Both MH and I knew she was a girl from the beginning. I thought it was because we were hoping for a girl, and wouldn't let myself believe it. When the doctor said she was a girl, my reaction was "I knew it!" MH made the doctor check 3 times to be sure, lol, cause he was so thrilled.

  • I thought we were having a boy.  We both really secretly wanted a boy.

Everyone said I was having a girl & so did all the OWT's, but nope he is alll boy!

  • With my son I knew he was a boy from the minute I found out I was pregnant no doubts or anything. This time around I jumped around alot one day I was sure it was a girl the next I was sure it was a boy lol! come to find out she is 100% girl! DH guessed right both times. I guess I wanted a girl so bad I didn't want to get my hopes up! so I know how you feel! just a little while longer and you'll know for sure! yay!

  • From the beginning I was convinced it was a Girl! I was so sure that it was a girl that I made myself believe it was a boy just in case my instinct was wrong. So before my big u/s I wasnt so sure but then when I was there, I hadnt even seen the baby on the machine yet and I was 110% sure it was a Girl and my instinct was right! So it ended up that both DH and I and most of our family was all right about us having a girl = )

  • I thought we were having a girl. I wasn't hoping for one or the other, I just sort of felt like LO was a girl- of course I doubted myself because my intuition is....well its not the greatest when it comes to these things. But, I was right!
  • my husband knew the whole time. I had no idea for a while, plus I didn't want to predict and be wrong. My WHOLE family thought I was having a girl, and I think I didn't want to disappoint anyone, so I kept a lot of it to myself. I was leaning towards boy for a while, although everyone tried to talk me out of it.

Come to find out, we were right! Beautiful baby boy. And clearly a boy. very clearly.
