Lump In Armpit

Hello Ladies,

Last night my left arm was sore and I found what looked like a swollen vein or lump in my armpit. I tried both hot and cold to see if that would hep, no luck. I slept on it, this morning it's a bigger swollen area and my arm still has a dull pain. I called my OB and made an appointment for later today but wanted to know if any of you had any ideas of what this could be or if you have experienced it as well. I's my first pregnancy and don't know if this is normal.

i think i have had this before..not related to pg though. It could just be an ingrown hair or a pimple..that's under th skin..i think i've had both of those...in that spot..

I did at the very beginning of my pregnancy, but I left it alone and it went away by my first appointment.  It wasn't very big.  There are lymph nodes around that area so maybe it had something to do with that.  Give us an update to let us know what your OB says.

I did have something like this and it did turn out to be pg-related.  In my case it was breast tissue (weird that it was in my armpit, right??) that had become swollen and tender like the rest of my breast tissue had and it was nothing at all to worry about.  Good to have yours checked just to see what it is though.

My mom had a lump turn up under her armpit and it turned out to be breast tissue that had swollen or something. It ended up being surgically removed but wasn't anything really harmful. Probably not what you have; i can't remember how quickly hers developed.

I found a lump in my armpit once a few years ago.  At the time I was visiting my sister and she has cats in the house.  I had horrible allergies.  When we left, the lump was gone.  I'm pretty sure it was my glands swollen from the allergies.

Had my ultrasound today. They found......nothing! Yay! The doctor came in and took a look himself, he told me I had large armpit muscles and asked if I was a champion push-upper haha. So happy everything is fine, always good to check and make sure
