House Update!

Whew ALOT has happened since Fri when I made my last post. But we can see the finish line. We are almost there!

Our house is Under Contract!!! Hallejuah! It took alot with this buyer to get there but we are and set to close on the 3rd, cash=things move very quickly! So we are renting from her for a few weeks.

So as of last night we are in the negotiation phase wtih the house we want. We walked through it one more time yesterday and reaffirmed its where we want to be. So hoping that everything goes as planned we can lock in our rate by the end of the week and really get down to packing!

I honestly thought this would never happen and that we just had pipe dreams but it all looks very possible now. I just hope the timing works out and we arent bunking with friends for a few days

I also wanted to thank everyone for their T&P last week, it meant alot. This whole process has put me in a funk and I know I havent been around lately but I just felt like I had very little to add. But Im still reading every post and keeping up with all the news. Ill keep you guys posted and hopefully have pics soon.

It hasnt hit me totally yet that we are moving.....and its not just moving across town we will be quite a ways away from where we are now and it wont be conv to head into Winston like it is now of course. Im going to miss alot about the town I grew up in but I know this is all for the best. I made sure bf I removed anything In AT's room last night to make a video of his nursery......its gone and I think that hurts the most. Its a new chapter.....and Its going to take some getting used to. Thanks for listening.

I'm so happy for you!  It's really awesome that you are probably going to get your dream house!  Yay!  I'm sure it's hard to say goodbye to AT's nursery, but you'll be saying hello to his big boy room, the yard he'll be playing in, etc.    Very exciting!

That is awesome! Congrats! I know it will be hard to say goodbye to all the memories your current house holds, but like ECU said--think of all the new ones you'll make in your new house! GL with everything!

What great news! I hope all the negotiations works out for the house you want to buy. We had a cash closing with our TH and it moved very very quickly but it was a lot less stress b/c you didn't worry about something falling through or not signing the right thing etc.

I'm doing a happy dance for you!  So glad everything is finally working out - selling / buying a house is sooo stressful, but so worth it in the end!

Congratulations! I hope everything continues to work out with your "new house". We're actually going through this same process now - we're closing on our house at the end of next week and moving. It's bittersweet - especially the part about leaving your child's first house and nursery so I can sympathize with you on that! But, just think of all the memories you'll make in the new house! Thanks for mentioning the video of the nursery.  I've taken pics of his room but I'm going to do a video before we pack everything up this weekend. Good luck with everything - hope your move is fairly stress-free!

Yay! I am so glad to hear the house went under contract. I know it's scary and sad to make such a big change but it really sounds like it is the best for everyone. I am very excited for you! GL with the move!!
