It is pronounced Kay-nen. It is biblical. This is my fav of all. To my surprise a lot of people know this name and know how to pronounce it. I didn't LOL! Thank you all for voting I will show this to him haha.

I'm assuming Canaan is Cane-uhn, sort of, yes? It's a Biblical place name. It's alright. My favorite on the list is Cavan - it's an Irish name, and a friend of ours is in love with it for when he has a little boy.

I live Caven too. Both sound great with James. Zane James doesnt really flow well though, IMO.
