I am working on my registry and under the feeding and nursing category is lap pads & cloth diapers. What are these used for and are they necessary if I already registered for burp cloths? Thanks so much!
I put them in between the sheets and the matress pad so I don't have to wash the whole thing if dd leaks in the middle of the night. I just put two of them in the middle.
I also use one on the changing pad, again so if there is a mess, I just toss that into the laundry instead of changing the whole pad every time.
I kept them on the changing table, between baby's bottom and changing pad. It was much easier to toss them into the wash after a messy diaper change then the pad cover.

I have lap pads all over the place! I keep them on the changing table, on the PnP change table, one on the master bedroom bed....anywhere that I might change a diaper there is one. I also have large ones that I keep in the crib and in the PnP...just in case of a blowout or big spit up (I wont need to change sheets).
This is my most widely used baby item. very sad now that I think of it, but they are great! Saves you from washing your changing pad cover, great to use when changing diapers out and about, etc.

THIS Exactly!!

Some can be used as burp pads or literally for leaking
I used the lap pads on her changing pad or if we went out I would lay her on it to change her.
The gerber cloth diapers work so much better then burp cloths. They are thicker and hold more.
