No more Kiddie Kandids-now where?

Hi everyone!

I am so bummed about Kiddie Kandids closing!  We are always so happy with them!

Can anyone recommend another photography studio that gives you pictures before you leave or that you can order through them?  I know there are so many that will give a disk of pictures but I know that I won't be motivated to get them printed and sent out.

The only thing I feel bad about is the 1400 ppl (including a family member of mine) who lost their jobs suddenly.  Kiddie Kandids did not take great photos.  There are plenty of other studios out there, JCPenney, Target, Walmart, Sears, Flash Portraits, Picture Me (i had never heard of them but apparently they are in Maple Grove).  I've never been satisified with the quality of photo that has come out of there, and it's proven whenever I put one of my professional photos of DS next to one of the one's from KK.

BRU in Roseville has a studio and I know they give you the pics before you leave.  My friend her her LOs first year pics taken there and was very pleased.   I don't have a personal experience there so I can't comment on price or photographers.

The photo studio in BRU in Roseville is Kiddie Kandids. Kiddie Kandids was only located in BRU. My SIL worked at the Roseville store and the only reason we got photos there was because that was her gift to us. I'd never pay for that quality.

When did they close?!?!?  I was just in that store last week and everything was still there.  I had no idea they shut down.  Obviously I didn't know it was named something different!

They closed the first weekend in January. I think the 9th because SIL was on maternity leave when they called to tell her she didn't have a job. All the stuff will still be there because they declared bankruptcy and they can't touch anything until that is settled. They had between 55-200 million in debt and only 55,000 in assets. They rented almost everything and never paid their bills.

i have only done jcp in rosedale mall.   always been pleased with service and photos.   price is cheap too.  can oder on-line or at store

We used Kiddie Kandids for Olivia's newborn photos. I love the photos, even compared to our other professional ones, and I was intending on getting the new baby's photos taken there as well to have something similar for newborn photos. It is really disappointing what they did, closing so suddenly like that...the poor employees!

We use our wedding photographer for all of our other photos, but we'll probably take the new baby to Sears or JC Penny for newborn shots.
