How many storage bottles??

Since I know I'm going back to work, I want to pump after each feeding and have some frozen BM "in stock".  How many of the extra storage bottles do you think I should buy in advance?  Should I just wait and make sure I'll have enough supply to do this?

Thanks ladies!

Re: How many storage bottles??

  • I use lansinoh storage bags... love the double zipper.  I freeze them flat then store them in lansinoh breast pad boxes as somebody else recommended me... you can store more this way.  I went back last Mondy and have about 80oz stored this way.

  • I wouldn't recommend freezing in bottles because it will take up a ton of room in your freezer.  You can use bags as the pp said.  I actually froze my milk in an ice-cube like tray with a lid (they're sold as baby food storage) and then transfer the cubes to freezer bags.  It's a great way to go because you can defrost as little or as much as you need.
