HAHAHA! I love that movie, and that part. DH and I always quote the part when Allison is in labor and the doctor is out of town. "Doc Howard, Ben Stone. Guess what the f*ck's up?!" LOL

But I agree with PP, maybe just hold off on calling them until the baby is already born.

Edit: I just read your follow-up about how you need to call them to watch your DS. So yeah, maybe you will have to use the Ben Stone quote. haha.

my MIL wants to be called when I am at 6 but I told her no room and I did not know how long it would be till she could see the baby yet she still wants to be there.

HAHAHAHAHA I needed to hear that. There was a nice sign someone suggested posting on thier door like " Mom and baby are rest. Please do not distrub." so that family and friends wouldn't visit. I like using the above Knocked Up quote better. And I'm not normally an unkuth person, but that is how I feel I need to be with in laws to keep them out. I know they love us, but I want my space.

Just tell the nurses to keep a handle on things.  They usually do a pretty good job of controlling the situation if need be.  If you tell them before hand they look like the bad people and they don't care what the family thinks of them.  It's about you...
