twins- how soon can doc tell?

Hello! I was just wondering how early the doctor can tell if I am carrying twins?

    5w generally via US only... betas really don't mean anything (my twin beta was almost the same as my sginleton betas)

    we saw both sacs at our 5w US very clearly.

    i knew i had a chance b/c i did clomid/IUI and had 2 mature follies at the time of IUI... other than that - there was no reason for me to suspect twins. Nothing was different early on compared to my singleton pg.

    Since ours are identical (one sac), they weren't spotted until 6w1d when we saw two heartbeats.

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    We saw at 6w2d 3 sacs, one heartbeat, at 6w4d we saw 2 heartbeats. We knew there was a possibility of multiples since I had several follicles when I triggered.

    We saw two heartbeats at our first u/s at 7 weeks :)  Congrats on the BFP :)
    H: 34 dx Azoospermia due to CBAVD from CF

    They saw 2 seperate sacs at my 6w3d ultrasound.  My beta numbers were totally misleading since they were pretty low.  Doubled like they were supposed to, but certainly on the low end.

    5w1d, saw 2 sacs and heard 2 HBs. My morning sickness had already started, so they suspected I may have 2. I also had 2 mature follicles, so we knew it was a stronger possibility.
