as too much sleep?

I think Kate's sleeping a ton right now...12-13 hours at night, plus 3-4 hours during the day (2 naps). She is only up for 2.5-3 hours without getting tired from morning wake-up to nap and nap to nap. She has a little cold (she's had it for a few weeks), but she doesn't act sick, lethargic or anything., She's playing normally, eating fine, a bit cranky (lots of little tantrums over the last few days!).

This is normal, right?

I would guess that she is gearing up for a growth spurt. DS just did this, and he grew about half an inch in a week.

That makes sense. Could that account for the fussiness? Could she be in pain?

Collin used to sleep like that too.  He is still doing 12 - 13 hours at night but now only one 2 hour nap. (sometimes only an hour and a half!)

DD sleeps 12 hours at night and takes two 1.5 hour naps during the day also. Sounds normal to me.

DS normally sleeps 12 1/2 hours at night and takes two 1 1/2-2 hour naps a day. So that sounds normal to me!
