Uses for plain, non-fat yogurt?

I bought 2 pints of the stuff on sale & they're about to expire.  Anyone have ideas about what I can do w/it?

Re: Uses for plain, non-fat yogurt?

  • you can make banana bread and sub it for the buttermilk.

make dip if you have some liptons onion soup mix (or something like that...ranch dressing mix works too)

  • Loading the player...
  • Thicken soup, make dip, use instead of sour cream, use to hold together a casserole...
  • So, maybe it's the wrong time of year, but sometimes I blend it up like I'm making a smoothie with fruit, etc and freeze it into popsicles.  Voila!  Healthy popsicle treat to make the kids think they are eating something they shouldn't.
  • I've had a chicken recipe with yogurt and feta, I think. It's also not half-bad with fruit. Harris eats plain yogurt mixed with fruit all the time (and sometimes the veggies or chicken that he doesn't want to eat solo), and it's not bad. Then again, he does LOVE yogurt anything.

  • If you have dogs- its good for their tummies... just a little though... no more than a quarter cup if theyre giant like mine
