I normally post on the toddler board but my sister wanted me to ask a question about her almost 7 year old daughter so I thought this would be a good place.
My niece has wet the bed often. Then she went from about late December up until about just a few days ago completely dry. Then the last several nights she has starting wetting again.
For example last night she was in bed at 8:30. My sister saw her up in her room around 9:30 standing there pretty much asleep and wet. So after everything was changed my niece went back to sleep at ended up wetting the bed again around 2am. My sister is at a loss, especially since she had stopped doing it for over a month.
My sister cuts her off by 6:30ish from drinking any liquids I believe and she has also asked the Dr and has just been told its common and she will outgrow it.
She is going to see the dr again and see a urine test and be done for an infection or something.
Any suggestions or ideas? Anyone else have this issue?
She also was researchign online and there is this alarm that the kiddo can wear during bed and is it suposed to go off when the child has to use the restroom to wake them up, but it cost like $200 so I also wanted to see if anyone knows anything about this before she invest in one.
TIA!
Re: Wetting the bed......
My DS is 4, but he does the same thing - staying dry for a month or so and then having accidents. If her doc isn't concerned I wouldn't be either.
One Step Ahead had an alarm that is a little cheaper -

I haven't used it, but their products are usually good.
You should post here more often - you have adorable kiddos!
If her doc isn't concerned, then it's probably just something that she does need to outgrow. I would definitely make sure there isn't anything wrong (like an infection or something). I would also make sure she is completely emptying her bladder before she goes to bed.
Awww thanks! And I may have too. I love the Toddler board but it's been sooo slow lately.
