Hey Sarah...wanted to tell you something about the disposable dishes for the party. I think you put something on the evite about them. After attending 2 of these parties, what we have all found to work best, is if everyone provides the dishes for their recipe. Instead of everyone bringing their own for everyone else's recipes (may not be the right size) or instead of the hostess providing them for everybody (too expensive), if everyone just brings containers which work best for their own recipe and just bring enough for everyone that seems to be best. That way, we will be certain that we will have the most appropriate container for each dish. For example, gallon size freezer bags works best for soup...8 X 8 works best for some caseroles...9 x 13 is probably best for lasagnas, etc. Does that make sense? Just a suggestion...that is just what my group will be doing from now on b/c it just makes sense.
Let me know if you have any other questions about it! Last night, I left with: chicken pot pie mexican casserole crockpot chicken tortilla soup chicken mirabella baked spaghetti hashbrown casserole crockpot chicken & rice
Okay, one more thing I just remembered too... Once you know who all will be coming, you may want to tell everyone to bring their own mixing bowl and spoon. Some of us even bring our own measuring spoons/cups and even an extra can opener helps too. It just kinda helps out with time so 10 people aren't standing around waiting for everything.
Yes I need to know this too. Wes will be on outage and working 12 hour shifts at the time so the only way I can come is if I can bring Aubrey...so I might have to opt out this time and come the next time.
I personally do not care if kids come. I can have my mil come over and I think dh might be here or I might be able to get my friend's 13 year old come over and help.
Re: If you're interested in the freezer meal GTG
