Any tips for a 5month old with a nasty cough?

I know I can't give him anything but I was wondering if anyone had tips that would help him feel better.  It is a really deep cough!  He doesn't seem too miserable but when he coughs his eyes water he is coughing so hard.  We have propped up his mattress and sucked out his nose.  Our bathroom is too big to steam up... so that stinks. (I sat with him at my mom's yesterday and it seemed to help).

Any tips??

I would run a humidifier in the nursery at night.

I agree with the humidifier at night...even during naps if he naps in his bedroom.  I don't know if you happen to have a nebulizer or if you would want to rent one, but saline treatments can really help keep the cough loose if it gets bad.

I think Vickszbaby is safe for little ones. It might help clear some of that congestion up so his cough isn't so bad.

One of mine has a cough now and I use a humidifier when she naps/sleeps.  I've also elevated her mattress a little bit.
