Why is there so much pot in Oregon?

 

Three times yesterday, marijuana and the state of Oregon made it into my conversation and/or brain and this is odd to me.

 

(WAIT.  I didn't SMOKE IT and get it into my brain.  The words, people!  The WORDS!)

Because Oregon is full of people from California and there is a lot of pot in California? Or, because Oregon is boring and people get stoned so they forget about how much it rains?

I really have no answers. I see a lot of meth heads every day. So maybe they like to smoke pot while they do there meth?

I'm going with partly that, partly with the meth head thing, but mostly that it's just not as frowned upon in the culture.
