Babies on the Brain

My mom is going to start cutting my hair.

So that I can save the $60 every six weeks for making babies.

I know it's hair and it grows back...but this scares me.

  • My grandma used to be a "beautician" she had a salon in her house.

I still don't trust her to come anywhere near me with scissors.

And SIL is a licensed cosmetologist but she's not confident in her abilities...so I don't trust her either.

Before I cut my hair this short I used to cut it myself.  I guess if worse comes to worse I can just let it grow again and cut it myself to save the money.

We'll see how my mom does.

  • My husband makes me cut his hair to save money.  Let's just say I'm glad he doesn't ever give it a real close look.

  • I cut my husband's hair, too. I am not skilled at all, nor is he very discerning when it comes to such things. It's a great setup for us.

This reminds me... I once heard this comic talk about how her mom used to make her get her hair cut at the gas station/salon and she finally quit going there when she began to look like she was wearing a cocker spaniel's ass for a hat.  This makes me laugh. :)

  • I cut my own hair, but it's long so it's super easy. I just trim a bit off every now and again.

Go you for finding ways to cut back and save up!

  • You can always do like I do: just don't cut it..LOL

    I think I cut my once a year...2-3 times a year if I'm feeling particularly frisky.....bwahahaha

(my hair grows slow and I always pin it up though)

  • Go to the Aveda Institute in CH if you get too skeered. They and their prices are most excellent.

By the time I go there, pay the lesser price, and come home, I could have just paid $60 for my stylist in downtown Winston.
