My grandma used to be a "beautician" she had a salon in her house.
I still don't trust her to come anywhere near me with scissors.
And SIL is a licensed cosmetologist but she's not confident in her abilities...so I don't trust her either.
Before I cut my hair this short I used to cut it myself. I guess if worse comes to worse I can just let it grow again and cut it myself to save the money.
I cut my husband's hair, too. I am not skilled at all, nor is he very discerning when it comes to such things. It's a great setup for us.
This reminds me... I once heard this comic talk about how her mom used to make her get her hair cut at the gas station/salon and she finally quit going there when she began to look like she was wearing a cocker spaniel's ass for a hat. This makes me laugh.

We'll see how my mom does.

I cut my own hair, but it's long so it's super easy. I just trim a bit off every now and again.
Go you for finding ways to cut back and save up!
You can always do like I do: just don't cut it..LOL
I think I cut my once a year...2-3 times a year if I'm feeling particularly frisky.....bwahahaha
(my hair grows slow and I always pin it up though)
By the time I go there, pay the lesser price, and come home, I could have just paid $60 for my stylist in downtown Winston.
