When switching to milk, do you serve it warm?

I have been transitioning my DS to milk over the past two weeks.  Since I have been mixing the milk with the formula, I have been serving it to him warm in his bottle.  When you made the full transition to 100% milk, did you continue to serve it warm or just give it to your LO cold in a sippy cup?

Thanks!

  • I think it's just personal preference of the child, mine will drink it cold during the day but I warm it a little before bed

  • I have always done it cold but I never had to mix with formula.

  • I do warm it up for about 13 sec. in the microwave.

Funny though since when she has juice she drinks it with an ice cube in it!

  • My dd will take it cold so I don't bother warming it anymore.

  • It never even occurred to me to heat it up. So, no, he's always had it cold. He was already totally using sippy cups (at DC) when we started whole milk, so he always just had it cold, either by itself or when mixed w/BM.

    Ditto this.

DS hated the temperature of milk. I had to heat it for 20 seconds for almost 5.5 months before we weaned him off warming it completely. One day I just handed it to him cold and he finally drank it. Now he loves it and asks for it all the time.
