My MIL is in the hospital again with pneumonia.  This is the second time since the beginning of January.  DH understandably wants to go down to see her this weekend.  I'm trying to decide if Gabe and I should go.

On the one hand, it would be nice to go down, make sure she is ok and let her know that I care/worried about her.  It would also be nice for Gabe to see his cousins and aunts & uncles again.  On the other, if she is still in the hospital I may not even see her since they aren't allowing children in the hospital.  And since we were all sick last weekend there are a lot of things I could get done if I stayed here.  ETA:  But it's also extremely difficult to get much done while trying to single hand Gabe these days.

Ditto. Hell, you have to drag me kicking and screaming to see my own grandmother in the hospital since I cannot stand her.

I should say I don't like Dave's step mom...his dad was awesome (he died the year we got engaged) and I never met his mom b/c she died when he was young.

I would stay home but send DH with a nice card that you and Gabe picked out for her. 

Since you've been sick it could be a mess to be around all those people!
