Babies on the Brain

What was your provera AF like?

Dr. Awesome said my period might be really heavy this time because of the provera and the fact I'm on like CD106 or someshit.

I had a really heavy period coming off the couple cycles of BC last year with massive clots that scared the crap out of me.

Should I hide the knives so I don't try and remove my reproductive parts to make the pain stop?

Re: What was your provera AF like?

  • It was definitely heavier than usual, and I spotted for more days afterwards than normal. However, cramps weren't TOO much worse.

  • I've had many provera AF's and they weren't any worse than normal, I hope you have the same good luck.

  • mine wasn't too bad - I was at 92 days.  It was heavier and crampier, but nothing good ol midol couldn't help me through.  I expected much much worse.  Good luck!

  • I didn't notice it being any heavier just because of provera, but the CD106 thing sounds scary.  Definitely hide all sharp objects.
  • I was on CD 150ish or something and took provera (20mg/10days) last week.  I've been spotting since about 3 days after finishing my last pill, but this morning I woke up with some actual light bleeding.  I'm hoping this is it and it will actually turn into my real AF instead of just spotting, otherwise I'm gonna have to have a d&c.  I wish I could tell you more, but I'm new to this experience too.
  • Neither Provera nor Prometrium made AF heavier for me. I hope you have an easy time with it.

  • Mine was super heavy.  I hadn't had a period in a long time- longer than 106 days.  I had a ultrasound and endometrial biopsy before I took provera, so I knew that my lining was super thick.  I didn't have bad cramps, but it was super heavy and twice as long as what it is when I am medicated.
