We are due in May and don't know if we are having a boy or a girl.  Here are some names we have picked out.  The middle names are all family names.  But my husband and I can't decide on what would go with James as a MN.  I like Aiden, Caden or Ashton.  But my hubby's cuz just named their LO Caden, so that's out.  My husband thinks the other two sound old fashioned.  We both like Jacob, but I'm worried b/c it is #1 ranked baby boy name right now.  Hannah is also very popular.  Should that influence our decision?  What do you think?  Any suggestions?

Girl: Makenna Lynn or Hannah Danielle?

Boy: Jacob Lee or ________ James?

I love Hannah and Jacob even though are very popular.

I do not like Caden, or Ashton.

I do not like Makenna.

I like the combination of Jacob Lee, and I think James will go nicely as a MN with most names.

Hannah Danielle or Hannah Lynn for a girl

Jacob Lee is okay, but I think Aiden James is great for a boy. Or Ashton James, too. You could do Jacob Ashton. Jacob is popular but it's classic. Oh, and not sure what your DH means, but I don't think either Aiden or Ashton is old fashioned!

I love Hannah and obviously Jacob! I think most boy names sound fine with James as the middle name. Some of my favorites are:

I love Danielle, do not like Makenna at all

I like James a lot , but not jacob or lee.

I think Ashton James sounds very nice.

Andrew James was also on our list of names.  Ryan is an ex's name...

James does seem to go with everything.  So does Lynn.  I think that's why we picked them as MN.

I LOVE Hannah. Hate Makenna. Jacob is really nice. It's my DH's middle name and also my son's middle name. It's a family name on both sides of our family.

I don't like any of those choices. I personally would try to find a name less popular.

Hannah and Jacob are great names, and might be popular, but who cares.

As for ________ James. 

How about Dylan or Andrew?
