  • I always took it as it's about to pop at any second!!!

  • From my understanding it means the water is pushing out of the cervix some and "bulging" but not actually breaking yet. I could be wrong.

This is what we were told at our childbirth classes.  The bag is sort of bulging out of the cervix.

This. I am 3 cm dilated, fully effaced, with a bulging bag of water. My Dr. said that it's just the water pushing out. She could feel his head and the water around it. This was over a week ago now and I have an appointment tomorrow to see if I've had anymore progress!
