Should I get an iPhone?
Is this a stupid question?
We're up for an upgrade next month with AT&T. DH is going to get an iPhone and I was just going to get a Samsung Solstice or whatever the hell it's called.
But the more I think about it, the more I might have phone envy.
What apps do you have that are fun (and free? lol)?
I like privacy. A lot.

I love mine. I had a blackberry for a few weeks and traded it in for the iPhone after I played with H's for awhile. There are a bazillion apps out there and a lot for kids. I have only paid for 2 apps (both photo apps) and the rest are free. I love the touch screen. I have phone envy of the new version (such as video recorder) I have to pay for the app if I want it and its standard on the new ones.

if you're already w/at&t then i say go for it. i LOVE my iPhone. just hate at&t.
pandora, fb, and alpha baby are some of my lifesaver apps.
iPhone. there's not a single smart phone even remotely close to being as amazing and an iPhone.
Don't even think any further....just get it. My husband really wanted one and I thought it was dumb. He just went and got them and it is really my most favorite piece of technology!
BTW....is there a bump app?

DH has a BB right now, and it's just *okay*. I did play with my cousin's iPhone and I really did like it. A lot.
Do any of you have the app that allows you to text for free? We're paying out the wazoo right now for a texting plan for my phone, so I'm wondering how this would work to cut down on that monthly fee...
I might be wrong but I am certain that when you get the media package, texting is already included. I believe I have the lowest plan and everything is included.
do it! DH bought one for himself and i have phone envy in the WORST way right now. he says i can't get one bc i don't "need it." no, DH, i don't "need" it. i want it. grrrrrrr..... DH loves it and he usually hates anything apple/mac, so that's really saying something.
he has a bunch of neat apps, but i'm not sure what he paid for and what is free....i know he has a sponge bob one that DS loves. and a chipotle one that i love, lol.
There isn't a bump app but I have the link bookmarked to my page so I can just click the icon and it brings me here.
i live in BFE and don't get AT&T service anymore so i had to trade down to a BB. it blows. the interface is something from some 1995 live journal and it crashes constantly. oh and did i mention you have to BUY a separate memory card for it? wtf? the photo quality is miz and overall every morning when i look at it i want to THROW it. i still carry my iPhone and use it for the apps via wi-fi b/c i just can't take the terrible.
The only thing holding me back is how much DS loves to play with my phone. I'll be much less upset if/when he breaks my old flip phone.
And yes, I could keep the flip phone just to let him play with it, but you know he'd still want the one he sees me with, the same way he wants the carrots off of MY plate instead of the same carrots sitting on his plate.
I wanted one, but couldn't get over the monthly price- OUTRAGEOUS. We have Sprint and for 2 people with unlimited everything and 1500 anytime we only pay $120.
ETA: I got the Palm Pre and LOVE it. It does everything the iPhone does and more.
WHAAA? DH and I both had one with unlimited data, text, 1000 min and it was only $125.
two words - otter box. it makes the iphone tornado proof!
