Student (lets call him A) and parent come to parent teacher conferences last night. I get A's work and grade card together and give him and mom the grade card. He has a 66.4% and FREAKS OUT!
He starts yelling at me, saying I don't care about him that I hate him. I explain that he keeps loosing points on assignments becuase he's not writing in complete sentences. I expect that an 11th grader can write English assignments in complete sentences!
He then proceeds to call me a fvcking biitch and storms out of my room. I try to continue the conference with mom when he comes storming back in still calling me a biitch. He was throwing a temper tantrum complete with tears, snotty nose, and overblown emotions!
Mom is no help at all and she just sits there. After he leaves again I explain to her that his grade can go up and there are three pending assignments that were just turned in (Thursday and Monday) that have yet to be graded. She told me that it isn't fair to her child that I do not have all my grades completed and that I had been talking to her in a condescending tone.
Then she walked out.
Normally I don't think mean things about my students but all I can say to this is, "See you later and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!"
We are pretty sure this kid will not be allowed back.
So yeah, I'm a fvcking biitch because I give a kid a shiity grade on his shitty work.
File that tidbit of information away and use it later.
eta: sorry for the wall of text. Yesterday was a craptastic afternoon.
Re: Worst.parent.teacher.conference.ever! (adding to craptasticness)
And I already work at the school for long term suspended and expelled students so that would be great for him!
I'm pretty sure if you curse out a teacher you get the book thrown at you by our principal. He (principal) is the nicest guy out there and all about second (and third and fourth and fifth, etc) chances but he has no tolerance for this.
