shower suggestions in the city?

Hi all anyone have shower suggestions for a posh place in Philadelphia that isn't too expensive? I'm looking for more of a girls get together with cocktails, mocktails, gossip, presents, and photos... with less of the silly games or awkwardness of guessing when I'll pop or how much I weigh (haha)

also- anyone one from the Lehigh Valley/Allentown area I'd like to ask the same question! Each Grandmother is throwing a separate shower (so I've been told) so that friends/family don't have to drive so far!

I would suggest that you start calling the top hotels.  Talk to the catering manager about creating a limited menu for your party.  Perhaps you pick out all of the hors d'oeuvres and have them out when people arrive.  Then have a few choice items for the meal, have the restaurant print a special menu with limited selections and do a signature drink.  That way you can control the cost.
