Trying to Get Pregnant

Doing anything to avoid work...

I've convinced my DH to go grocery shopping with me tonight.... Miracles do happen, even on No-Fun Monday!

Re: Doing anything to avoid work...

  • That's awesome! I can occasionally convince my DH to do the same. We always spend more money when he comes along though

  • Yay!  I actually prefer to shop by myself, but I love it when DH helps me bring in all those heavy bags.  (We live in a third-floor apartment!)

TTC#2 for 4 years: multiple rounds of IVF, M/Cs, lots of tears.  Cautiously optimistic about #2 EDD 12/29/18
  • I also prefer DH for all the heavy lifting... but I definitely spend more too when he comes!

Agreed. He gets in my way, slows me down and puts random junk in the cart that I don't need around the house. Like Mint Oreos. Those things are the devil to my waist and butt. So most of the time I just call him when I pull up and he comes out and helps me unload. I think he likes not going too.

You know, I have noticed that too! Maybe I'll make sure we eat dinner before we go so there's no "thinking with your tummy" shopping!

  • LOL!
I'm not sure which is worse to have along with me when I grocery shop, DH or DD. At least I can pacify DD with a cookie from the bakery. DH on the other hand, wants to buy everything he sees. Indifferent

This!  My DH hates grocery shopping, therefore if he comes all he does is whinge and it is honestly like shopping with a child.. he wants to buy all the novelty items hanging along the aisle (ie whoopie cushions, marbles) and we end up buying so much more junk food!
