Need advice about job!

I debating on taking another job.  Problem is that I wont have the summer or time off at Christmas as usual.  The job that I would be taking pays $15,000 more than my current job and they pay for my insurance. It's only 8-5 M-F.  I'm just not sure if I am willing to take time away this summer from my DD and DH (who teaches as well). At the same time we could use the money to pay off some debt in hopes that I could stay home in the future with our other children.  What would you do in my situation?  TIA for the help!

Time home with my DD is worth money, so I would not take it (it sounds like you are a teacher too?)... unless... how much vacation would you get with the new job? Retirement options?

Retirement is good but I only get 2 weeks pd. vacation!

Two weeks is not much (compared to teaching)... how many years do you have in your current district? I might make a t chart listing +/-  of each. It is a toughie... The money is nice. Basically I am no help. LOL.

I used to teach at a year round school and recently took an administrative job where I only work 20 summer days and have other holiday periods off. Once I got pg, I couldn't picture the year round schedule if I could avoid it...however, my pay is the same and I work less so I guess that isn't helpful. I think the fact that your DH has a lot of time to spend with your LO would be good for her and she wouldn't lose time with a parent if you did take the job.
