I haven't done it yet, but I'm going tonight to buy the kit. I'm buying the "Proudbody Complete Kit". Then we will paint it.

I haven't done it and I'm not going to just because I don't really need/want a cast of my belly. But I heard of one woman here on the bump did the cast, painted it and hung it as a decoration in the nursery. I don't know of any brands of belly casts or anything like that though.

aww why wouldnt he want you to do it? I wasn't going to but I saw one done at destination maternity where they do it for you for a few hundred bucks and it was so cute! since we have decided not to do maternity pics (because of $) this is something I want to do!

I did the Proud Belly brand (amazon offers it w/ free shipping) with my first LO and it turned out great!  We have it hanging in his room.  I thought I would paint it but we never did we just tied a ribbon around it and hung it up.  It was very simple to do it- DH & I did it together, I think it took 45 minutes and wasn't really messy at all (Proud Belly gives you gloves and a drop cloth).  Because I'm very busty I didn't want the focus to be on my chest so I wore a bra and kinda strapped them back (my boobs stuck out farther than my belly )- and it washed up very well.  We plan on doing one for this baby in 2 more weeks.

I too did the proud body kit & am going to paint mine then have guests sign it at my shower.  We plan on hanging it in the nursery.  I'm actually trying to get it painted today since we have another snow day!  you can order it off www.proudbelly.com.

I had it done at the Edamame spa at Destination Maternity and then painted it myself.  Everyone who has seen it...LOVES it!  I now have it hanging in the nursery.  Google image belly casts and some really great photos of what other people have done might give you some inspiration.
